GOD'S UNUSUAL APPROVAL

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Ps 30:5). One of the ways of discerning your day of favour is when you receive an unusual approval. One person who got an unusual approval was Hannah. She travelled to Shiloh every without much to show for it.

Yet, she persisted until that glorious day. Her situation moved her to the point of praying differently. Though her lips moved, her voice was inaudible. Initially, Eli the priest thought she was drunk, but on realizing that she was sane, and only appeared drunk by reason of her intense burden and prayer, he endorsed her request with his priestly authority. She conceived at long last! Why was this an unusual approval? Eli was old and had lost his ability to discern spiritual things. This was why he mistook a woman who was deep in prayer for a drunk.

His spiritual dullness persisted even after the birth of Samuel; hence, it took him so long to realize that God was calling the young boy. Eli was present but God had to look for someone else to speak to. In that backslidden state and in the throes of God’s imminent judgement on his family, God still used him to approve Hannah’s request.

This tells us that when your day of favour comes, God can use a spiritually insensitive or even backslidden pastor to endorse your request. In other words, the spiritual state of your leader may not stop God’s purpose in your life when your day of favour comes. Even when God has stopped purpose of meeting you on your day of favour.

However, you have to earn it. Some people get tired too soon. If they come to a church meeting once, twice or a few times and nothing happen, they call it quits. If Hannah had stopped going to Shiloh, she might never have received the unusual approval that broke the power of barrenness from her life.

WHEN IT’S NOT TOO LATE

“And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able to also to perform.” (Rom. 4:21) God uses His vessels to prove a point. Believe or not, your personal relationship with God paints a picture of Him to those around you. If you paint a bad picture, people will never want to associate with your God. What kind of picture is your life painting to the world? In Genesis 26:12-14, God used Isaac to prove the infallibility of His law of harvest. Sometimes, God uses a vessel to make everyone know that with Him, all things are possible (Luke1:37). Abraham and Sarah are a case in point. When the former was 75 years old, God promised that He would make him the father of many nations. T this time, his wife was barren at the age of 65. They were already too old to bear children, yet God deliberately waited 25 more years until Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah 90 before bringing His promise to pass. Has God promised to do something that appears impossible and yet, the promise is still lingering? He may be waiting for all options to run out and possibility in order to prove, through your life, that with him there is no impossibility. As long as God is still be involved in your case, it can never be too late. Is it appearing too late in that particular situation? Fear not! The Lord will step right in and ‘too late’ will become ‘most appropriate time’ in Jesus name.

GOD LOVES YOU!

We welcome you all to this great sites where we share the word of God and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We pray that visit to this site will be glorious and mark of a new beginning in your spiritual and physical life as you decide to remain holy and assume the posture of a new man or woman of Christ. God has great promise for his children, one of which is good health. 3John 3 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. This scripture talks about all-round wellness. To fulfill God’s plan for your life, you need to enjoy good health. A sick body will definitely affect the spirit and soul of its owner. When the body is sick, it becomes difficult to actively serve God, His people and fulfill one’s destiny. Sickness can come in various ways. One way to prevent them is to know their causes and avoid them.
